The Canadian Birkebeiner Society (CBS), founded in 1985, is a not-for-profit organization focused on the planning and provision of the annual Canadian Birkebeiner Ski Festival that takes place in the greater Edmonton area. The Birkie is the largest strictly classical cross-country ski event in Canada. In the spirit of the Norwegian Birkebeiner legend, the festival consists of five events ranging in distance from 2.5 km to 55 km. In the role of Office Administrator, the successful applicant will be responsible for accounting, database, website and clerical functions for the annual Ski Festival and all related events run by the Society.

CCA Annual General Meeting and Worskhops

Cross Country Alberta is hosting workshops and the Annual General Meeting on Saturday, May 31.

It will be a dynamic day, and is not to be missed! We will have three Olympic athletes joining us for talks, as well as a Canadian Sport 4 Life champion leading our workshops, and a high performance coach leading a coaching discussion.

The positions are: Director of Athlete and Youth Development; Alberta Ski Team Director; Events and Scheduling Director; Human Resources Director; Membership, Communications and Marketing Director; and Treasurer.

Voting will occur at the AGM on Saturday, May 31.
 
Competition-Development (L2C) Dryland Workshop

Red Deer Nordic is looking for a new coach

Red Deer Nordic Ski Club is looking to hire a full time coach to oversee their Learn to Train (L2T), Train to Train (T2T), and Learn to Compete (L2C) program (9-18 year olds) for the 2014-15 season. There are currently 40 athletes in these 3 programs competing at local, provincial and national levels.
