| |  | Posted Thursday, April 1, 2010 The Board Nominating Committee is now assembling a slate of candidates to be considered for election to the Board of Directors of CCC. This election will take place at the CCC Annual General Meeting, 10-13 June, 2010, in accordance with CCC's Bylaws.
We urge all CCC members to get involved in the process. If you know of someone who is qualified and interested in one of these Board positions, please advise a member of the Nominating Committee before April 10, 2010. Candidates for any Board position may also be nominated by any five (5) members of CCC. |

| | |  | Posted Thursday, March 18, 2010 The final Bow Cup (BCRR) event goes this weekend at COP. Weather looks to cool down a bit which will make for slightly less slushy conditions. Events will include Challenge Team Relays and a Nordic Cross.
Team Relays will be 3-person teams on our challenge course - lots of skill challenges including slalom course. Similar to last year there will be prizes for the best team "get-up" (funky hats, costumes or crazy team names).
The Nordic Cross will be basically a "downhill" sprint with heats of 3 (or 2) skiers going head-to-head. Jackrabbits will do a 250m course on the upper trails.... |

Andy Brisbin and Kieran Baird finished 1st and 3rd, respectively, in the University Championships.
Maya MacIsaac-Jones finished the Juvenile Girls 5 km in second place.
Martin Schrama finished 3rd in the Junior Male category, and Marlis Kromm finished 5th in the Junior Female category.
Alberta swept the podium in the Open Men category, and finished with 8 skiers in the top 10 led by Graeme Killick (gold), Brent McMurtry (silver), Drew Goldsack (bronze), and Stefan Kuhn (4th).

the Fort Saskatchewan Nordic Ski Club hosted its annual Jackrabbit and Youth Olympics ski event, which followed our tradition of a mass start race by age category, hot lunch provided by our Jackrabbit parents, then fun "Olympic style" events. |
