CCA Officials Courses

Information regarding Officials Courses will be posted as it becomes available.

Volunteers who support the Alberta Cup, regional races, and loppets will benefit from attending one of these training sessions.

The officials manual can be purchased at the time of the course for $15.  It can also be accessed online at http://www.cccski.com/main.asp?cmd=doc&ID=5249&lan=0

Level 1- This is a 8 hour course that provides an overview of what a cross country ski competition is all about. The focus is on the duties of minor officials for 'competitive race' style competitions (interval start, pursuit start, mass start, team sprint, individual sprint, relay) and 'Loppet' style (mass participation) competitions.  Course fee: Determined by number of participants

Level 2- This is a 16 hour course that prepares officials for a leadership role on a competition committee for club, provincial, and most national level races. The course covers all race formats, rules & regulations, rule interpretation, electronic timing, all aspects of the results system and volunteer management.  Course fee: Determined by number of participants
