Cross Country Alberta holds several camps throughout the year for young skiers to learn new skills and to interact with other athletes around the province. The camps are run by experienced Alberta coaches, and are often assisted by high-profile members of the racing community, as well as members of the Alberta Ski Team and Alberta Development Team.
Swift Camp - July 5 - July 9, 2010
This camp is open to skiers age 13 to 17 yr old, (midget to junior). Your registration includes coaching, camp activities, seminars, training fees, traveling costs, food and camp souvenir.
About the Camp
The Swift Ski Summer Training Camp has been specifically designed by national level coaches and sport scientists to provide the best instruction to ski racers. We believe that optimal development of each athlete lies at the core of quality instruction and education. This will not only assist skiers with personal achievements but will assist Canada to be a stronger cross country ski nation.

Camp Highlights
- Education sessions (Physiology, Muscular Fitness, Psychology, Sport Nutrition, Technical and Tactical preparation)
- Physiological testing & interpretation - All information collected is given to the athlete and his/her coach to help with improving the accuracy of training program prescription for the 2010-11 racing season.
- Other events (Dry-land training, Mountain training, Team Dinner, Team Building)
Instruction
Certified, experienced coaches and sport scientists provide instruction 5 components of training:

- Sport nutrition
- Technical & tactical instruction
- Optimal skier health
Haig Glacier Camp - August 23-30, 2010
Lake Louise Early Snow Camp - November 13-15, 2010
- A great opportunity to hit the snow early. This is an open provincial camp for Midget through Junior age categories
- Camp starts at 9am on Friday, November 12th and finishes at 1:00pm on Sunday, November 14th
- Activities include on-snow technique, video analysis and two special presentations
