A. Position Summary
This position is responsible for developing an annual marketing and communication plan. Responsibilities also include assisting with the publishing of Alberta Nordic Skier (advertising recruitment, public relations with advertisers); ensuring optimal amount of communication is achieved with the association memberships; developing methods of promoting CCA; developing media contacts and maximising their use; developing a long term sponsorship plan for various CCA events and programs; develop a long-term plan for fundraising events; and developing an annual marketing report.
B. Key Responsibilities
Assist Manager with soliciting advertisers for the Alberta Nordic Skier. 
Development and maintenance of communication systems & strategies between all stakeholders in the sport (i.e. member clubs, individual members within clubs, CCA Board members, JR Leaders, licensed racers, coaches, retailers, and all potential & existing sponsors).
Developing promotional plans, campaigns and sponsorship contracts.Development of action plans, standards, and criteria where applicable
Development and presentation of the association's annual awards programs. This includes the Alberta Cup Awards, Volunteer Recognition Awards, as well as any other special recognition awards that may seem appropriate from time-to-time.Other special projects as directed by the Board/Chairperson
Analyse and summarise membership trends, feedback and make recommendations to Board that reflects a positive and effective response to the data collected.
Other special projects as directed by the Board/Chairperson.
C. Recommended Qualifications
  • Degree and/or diploma in Business, Communications, and/or Marketing.
  • Experience with Marketing, Communications, and/or Business.
