A. Position Summary

This position is to work with the Chairperson and the Past Chairperson to work on assigned special projects. To accomplish these tasks this position is responsible for managing and working with other members of the board. This position is also responsible for taking minutes, or arranging for minutes to be taken, at all board meetings and ensuring that copies are distributed (from the office) in a timely manner.

B. Key Responsibilities

Special Project assistance for any of the other Directors.

Keep in close communications with Chairperson regarding all Chairperson-related duties and issues.

Periodically facilitate a Board meeting at the Chairperson's request.Development of action plans, standards, and criteria where applicable

Take minutes at Board meetings when requested to by Chairperson.

Become familiar with the association's Bylaws and Policy & Procedures in preparation for being Chairperson.

C. Recommended Qualifications

Experience within the cross country ski community. Has already served as a Board Director in a Technical area.
