Calgary has several clubs:

  • Bow Waters Jackrabbits
  • Club emphasis on teaching children to ski and family ski touring.
  • Also offers adult lessons and biathlon lessons.

  • Calgary Ski Club
  • Club emphasis on touring and recreational skiing, but also hosts the annual Lake Louise Loppet.
  • Also offers masters and adult lessons.

  • Foothills Nordic Ski Club
  • Skis primarily out of Canada Olympic Park.
  • Holds programs in cross country racing, biathlon, jackrabbits, adults and touring.

  • Hawk Ridge Cross Country Ski Club
  • Maintains 7 kms of trails groomed for skating and classic, featuring 3 kms of lit trails for night skiing.
  • Trails located 1.8kms south of Calgary.

  • Lifesport Racing Team Ski Club
  • Primarily a racing focused club, with members ranging from Canadian Champions to World Cup racers to loppet skiers.

  • Rocky Mountain Jackrabbit Ski Club
  • Offers family-oriented, volunteer-run jackrabbit ski program for children aged 4-14.

  • Rocky Mountain Racers
  • A high performance racing club for athletes in both cross country and biathlon.
  • Also hosts the annual Mt. Sharkfest in March.

  • University of Calgary Nordic Ski Club
  • Operated out of the University of Calgary's Outdoor Program Centre, mainly focused on jackrabbit programs.
  • Also offers adult lessons in technique as well as waxing.

  • A primarily touring focused club, offering co-ordinated day and overnight tours between November and April.
