The AST fall camp took place last weekend, Oct 1-3 in the Calgary – Canmore - Kananaskis area. The athletes started with testing on Friday afternoon, with Corey at Peak Power then out to Canmore for some technique work and finished up in K-Country with a great work-out on the highway to Elbow Falls, past Bragg Creek, between the cows. Excellent job and a thank you to everyone.

7 AST members participated in the camp, Scott Perry, Alan Whitten, Justin Kangarloo, Adam Snow, Sara Hewitt, Hannah Perry and Amanda Ammar.

Special thanks to Michael Neary for leading this camp and Lee Speed for all her work with the camp.

Project Podium is back for 2005, with an amazing selection of photos ranging from World Cup through to youth racing and back-country skiing! The 2005 calendar will feature the same attractive characteristics as the 2004 version:

* 14 months (November 2004 to December 2005)
* Large size (reduced a few cms in one dimension to accommodate Canada Post mailing rates)
* $15 retail price (plus GST)
* A coaching tip for each month
* World Cup and Canadian race calendar dates incorporated
* A "Countdown to 2010" - with salient landmark days annotated on the calendar

This means that a club can raise $1,400 by selling just 200 calendars as a fundraiser.

There is very little risk in the project as CCC undertakes to replace any unsold 2005 calendars with 2006 calendars when they become available. Just return the covers of unsold calendars to us and we will credit your account for next year.

If you have any questions feel free to call or email Dave Dyer or the National Office (1-877-609-3215 or [email protected]). Let's get out there and raise some money. The "Countdown to 2010" has begun. Please encourage the members of your club to stand up and be counted.

To view the calendar cover and for more information click here.

Remember, there are less than 2,000 days until the 2010 Games!
