Due to the rescheduled Alberta Cup on Feb. 21, Athabasca Nordic will be rescheduling its loppet to Sunday, March 7.

Issued by the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club  Bill van der Meer - Chief of Race:

At the Edmonton Nordic Ski Club executive meeting on February 2nd the decision was made that there would be a full refund to all racers. The final fixed costs were $3,500, which will be covered by the ENSC. Race cheques will be destroyed. If you paid by cash a cheque will be issued in the next two weeks.

Ole Uffda Loppet - Cancelled - The Camrose Ski Club has decided to cancel the annual Ole Uffda Loppet for Jan 17, 2003.

The Alberta Sport, Recreation, Parks and Wildlife Foundation is pleased to partner with the Provincial Sport Associations to enhance coach development in Alberta with two new Coaching Development Initiatives announced at the President's Meetings in November. The applications are for the Above and Beyond Program and the Coach Visitation Program.

 

The deadline for submission is February 15, 2004 for both the Above and Beyond and Coach Visitation Initiatives.

Cross Country Alberta is running a Level II Race Officials' Course January 9 - 10, 2004. The course is open to people holding a Level I Certificate or to volunteers who have extensive experience with race organization.
