Lake Louise Early Snow Camp - Nov. 13-15 Nov 20th, 2009
By: Cross Country Alberta

This past weekend 43 athletes from around Alberta participated in the Lake Louise Early Snow Camp, a joint venture between Cross Country Alberta and the Alberta World Cup Academy.

The athletes and coaches were treated to mild weather and midseason conditions while skiing on Moraine Lake Road and the 1A in Lake Louise. On Friday evening, the athletes participated in a yoga session, and on Saturday evening one of the camp coaches Christian Flury, of the Alberta World Cup Academy, delivered a seminar on race and training preparation.

Many thanks to the coaches who made the camp happen:

Mike Cavaliere (Head Coach of the Alberta World Cup Academy),

Michael Neary (Sport Manager – Cross Country Alberta),

Christian Flury and Eric Groeneveld (Alberta World Cup Academy),

Chris Jeffries and Nicky Pacas (Foothills Nordic),

Mike Norton (Sport Manager – WinSport Canada), and

Haakon Solberg (on loan from Norway, formerly of Edmonton Nordic).

We hope to see you next year!
